Yang Changxi described this problem in the interview: the labor intensity of the turning wheel is high, which requires a lot of manpower, ranging from four days to 30 days. At the same time, there are high risks, ranging from minor injuries to serious injuries, and even casualties.
After a year of painstaking research and improvement, Pang Zijing once again returned to Fengtan Hydropower Station with the improved automatic turning gear. This time, everything went smoothly, and the automatic turning gear was successfully applied to the overhaul of the turbine. Since then, Pang Zijing's automatic turning gear has been widely used in hundreds of hydropower stations across the country.
During the interview, Yang Changxi recalled the moment when the gear broke, but he also expressed his belief in the feasibility of this technology. This technology not only solves the problem of the traditional turning method, but also improves the efficiency, and does not have any unsafe incidents during use.
