Co-sponsored by the Hydropower Equipment Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering, the Information Network of the Hydropower Equipment Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering, and the National Water Machine Abrasive Test Research Center, undertaken by the Mechanical and Electrical Research Institute of the Ministry of Water Resources, and co-organized by Qingdao Zhengli Power Equipment Co., Ltd. The National Hydropower Station Electromechanical Technology Seminar was held in Qingdao, Shandong Province from September 11 to 13, 2018.116 representatives attended the meeting.

  The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Lu Li, chairman of the Hydropower Equipment Professional Committee of the China Society of Electrical Engineering. Chen Fu Jun, the representative of the information network of the Hydropower Equipment Professional Committee of the China Society of Electrical Engineering, delivered an opening speech. Pang Zijing, chairman of Qingdao Zhengli Power Equipment Co., Ltd., delivered a welcome speech. Zeng Dalin, secretary of the Party Committee of the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, delivered a speech on behalf of the special committee and information network. Leaders, experts and scholars from power companies, hydropower design and research institutes, colleges and universities, power plants, and hydropower equipment manufacturing and installation enterprises attended the opening ceremony.At the conference, Wu Yihang, executive deputy secretary-general of the China Society of Hydropower Engineering, gave a report on China's hydropower development, and Liu Zhongmin, secretary of the China Irrigation and Drainage Center, reported on China's hydropower development prospects after increasing efficiency and expanding capacity. Professor Wang Zhengwei of Tsinghua University made a special report on the basic theory and engineering application of fluid machinery multi field coupling. Qin Daqing, deputy director of Harbin Electric Machinery Research Institute, made a special report on the role of hydropower in energy structure adjustment and the applicability of hydropower unit technology. Director Yi Chuanbao of the Science and Technology Department of State Grid New Energy Holdings Co., Ltd. made a special report on the Development of New Electromechanical Technologies for Pumped Storage. Pang Zijing, chairman of Qingdao Zhengli Electric Power Equipment Co., Ltd., made a special introduction on "Vertical Hydrogenerator Set Turning and Turning Device. 

  The third national hydropower station electromechanical technology seminar contains 102 papers, which are divided into 7 parts according to the contents of the manuscript, including: 12 papers on vibration and stability of hydropower station and storage power station units; 20 articles on condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of hydropower equipment; 7 articles on hydraulic machinery optimization design and model test; 9 articles on hydraulic machinery cavitation and sediment wear; 16 articles on mechanical and electrical engineering design of hydropower stations and pumping stations; 26 articles on the design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and field test of electromechanical equipment for hydropower stations and pumping stations; 12 articles on the efficiency and expansion of hydropower stations and energy saving and consumption reduction for pumping stations. Sixteen papers were presented at the conference, and the delegates had a heated discussion on their presentation papers. During the conference, after the review of the academic committee of the conference, 11 excellent papers were selected and the certificate of "excellent paper" was awarded. Excellent papers will be edited and published in 2019 "Hydropower Station Electromechanical Technology" and other core journals.With the strong support of the leaders and competent units of the superior society, the active cooperation of all relevant units in the industry and the joint efforts of all representatives and members of the conference team, the conference was a complete success.
